On May 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM, the National Roundtable titled The Role of the European Union in Addressing Global Challengeswill be organized at Moldova State University (USM).

The discussions within the Roundtable will focus on the following key areas:

1. Aspects of European integration

2. The role of the European Union in the contemporary international system

3. The EU’s Common Foreign and Security Policy

4. The European Union’s public diplomacy

5. EU–Republic of Moldova cooperation in the context of the opening of accession negotiations

The Roundtable welcomes the participation of students, master’s and doctoral candidates, policymakers from central and local public authorities, representatives of civil society, and other individuals interested in Moldova’s European integration, the EU’s foreign policy and security, and the EU’s role in addressing global challenges.

The event is organized within the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair project “EU’s Role in the Emerging International System” (EUREIS), project number 101126798.

It is also included in the list of scientific events of Moldova State University for 2025.

Informative materials presented at the Roundtable will be published in a dedicated volume. Articles may be submitted in Romanian, French, English, or Russian.
